Artists 4 Israel Event Sparks Controversy Between Student Groups on Campus

On September 6, 2012, Artists 4 Israel created renditions of Andy Warhol’s iconic soup print using spray paint on the William Pitt Union Lawn. The exhibit drew the attention of Pitt’s Students for Justice in Palestine who thought that the wooden panels used for spray painting symbolized the barrier between Palestinians and Israelis.
