The county is urging residents to use less water today after a water treatment plant lost… The county is urging residents to use less water today after a water treatment plant lost power. Pennsylvania American Water, the company that owns the treatment plant, is asking customers in Allegheny and Washington countries to avoid using water for showers, dishwashing, cooking, drinking or flushing the toilet today or until the issue is resolved. Customers should visit the alert notification section of the company’s website to see when they can resume using water.
