Tennis: Panthers come from behind to beat Georgetown

The Pitt women’s tennis team won its match last weekend against Georgetown 4-3, earning… The Pitt women’s tennis team won its match last weekend against Georgetown 4-3, earning its second victory in a row.

The Panthers needed a come-from-behind victory in their last doubles match to do so.

The Panthers’ (2-1, 1-1 Big East) duo of Sabrina Visram and Gabi Catanzariti lost 8-3 to the Hoyas’ (1-2, 0-2 Big East) Alex Sebia and Alexandra Landers.

The loss marked the first of the year in doubles action for the pair.

Then, Karma Parbhu and Adela Aprodu were down 4-7 late in their match. Without dropping a game, the two came back and won five straight to win the doubles point for the Panthers 9-7.

This weekend, the Panthers take on St. Bonaventure before traveling to Syracuse Sunday.
