The Pittsburgh Cultural Trust has returned with the Three Rivers Arts Festival for both in-person and virtual activity, offering ten days of free art displays and live music.
Argyle Studio held its grand opening last Thursday, offering Oakland a unique space for artistic retail. The pop-up shop represents the diversity of the Oakland community through a variety of products, including the creative work of over 30 local artists and vendors.

Argyle Studio, a new pop-up artist’s shop in Oakland, came to fruition through the right-and-left-brain mother-daughter duo, Christine and Brigette Bethea. The pair envisioned Oakland’s newest retail space and brought it to life with a grand opening last Thursday.
Steeltown, one of several local organizations that work to bring film production to Pittsburgh, announced their move to the WQED studios on May 12.

Film opportunities for students open up through new partnership

Sally Wen Mao is the author of “Oculus” and “Mad Honey Symposium.” Her first book, “Mad Honey Symposium,” was given the Kinereth Gensler Award in 2012. “Oculus” was published in 2019 and was named one of Time Magazine’s 100 Must-Read Books of 2019, and highly reviewed by NPR, The Washington Post and The New Yorker, among others.
