Maggie Durwald, from Buffalo, NY, is a senior staff columnist at The Pitt News. She started at TPN in September 2017 as a columnist, writing primarily about politics and social issues. Durwald is a sophomore at Pitt majoring in Linguistics, French and Spanish, and expects to graduate in April of 2021. After undergrad, she hopes to work in translation.
