Karen Enomoto, vice president of external affairs for the Asian Student Alliance, said while going to a predominantly white university like Pitt, it’s important to have a sense of community for minority groups that feel unrepresented on campus.

Pitt’s department of sociology, Global Hub and Asian Studies Center co-sponsored a Monday panel titled “Combatting Anti-Asian Violence Amidst COVID-19” to raise awareness about the increase in anti-Asian violence during the COVID-19 pandemic.
