‘Love Your Crosswalk campaign’ teaches Pitt history, pedestrian safety

At various intersections on Forbes and Fifth Avenues, pedestrians will find 28 flashy QR codes, each linked to separate multiple-choice quizzes that explain safety tips and Pitt history.

The crosswalk created on Forbes Ave. outside of David Lawrence Hall is expected to be fully operational by the end of the week, according to Pitt Police. In the past few days, the traffic lights have been set to “flash” as a means of allowing drivers to adapt to the new crosswalk.

Over this past weekend, construction began on the sidewalks parallel to Forbes Avenue near the sky bridge. This progresses the effort from Pitt to create a crosswalk on Forbes outside of David Lawrence Hall.
