Lawsuit dismissed against former police officer Michael Rosfeld, Garage Door

Two students filed a federal court case alleging improper arrest during a December 2017 incident at Garage Door Saloon. The case was dismissed Thursday.

A federal court case alleging an improper arrest of Pitt students at a local bar in December 2017 was dismissed Thursday.

Lawsuit alleges Pitt responsible for dropped criminal charges

Daniel Humphrey, the son of Pitt Senior Vice Chancellor for Engagement Kathy Humphrey, was arrested by Pitt police in a December 2017 incident at Garage Door Saloon. The charges were dropped at the preliminary hearing, and now lawyers for the bar allege Humphrey and other Pitt affiliates were responsible.

The owner of Garage Door Saloon says he is intending to prove Pitt's involvement in the district attorney's dismissal of criminal charges against students.
