GSPIA team helps Afghans apply for resettlement visas

After Kabul fell to the Taliban, a project based in Pitt’s Center for Governance and Markets helping Afghans obtain P-2 visas for resettlement in the United States rapidly accelerated under the leadership of Jennifer Murtazashvili and Maxwell DeGregorio.
New rules proposed by the Trump administration seek to create fixed terms of up to four years for student visas, as well as create new applications for international students to extend their stay in the United States, among other changes.
