Pittsburgh in “code orange” air quality index as Canadian wildfires rage on

Allegheny county has been placed in the code orange air quality index as a direct result of the over 400 wildfires currently raging across Canada in Quebec and Nova Scotia.
The hot and dry weather in California has paved the way for the worst wildfire season in years.

If we don’t acknowledge the fires are worsening due to climate change, and that we’re facing direct repercussions, we’ll never be in a place where we can begin to make improvements. The disasters will continue to get worse.
