Bernie Sanders visits Pitt

Democratic hopeful Bernie Sanders made a campaign stop at Pitt’s Fitzgerald Field House on Monday, just one day before the state’s primary.

Midday on Monday, Sanders spoke to a crowd of mostly college students about income inequality, student debt and environmental issues, including fracking and the fossil fuel industry. Sanders last visited Pittsburgh on March 31, when he held a rally Downtown. His rally this week follows visits from former President Bill Clinton and rival Hillary Clinton, as well as Republican candidates John Kasich and Donald Trump.

See photos from the event below. This story will be updated.
