Wednesday, Feb. 6
7:00 a.m. — Pitt police assisted city police with a motor-vehicle accident without injury at 5200 Second Ave.
8:00 a.m. — While conducting a traffic stop at Fifth Avenue and University Place, police determined that the driver had a suspended license. Two traffic citations were issued, and the vehicle was towed.
8:31 a.m. — Police responded to a report of an electrical outlet sparking because of water getting inside it at the Music Building. Engineers were notified and cut power off to the outlet.
10:20 a.m. — An individual reported that she left one of her textbooks in a classroom at the Cathedral of Learning and, upon returning, the book was missing.
11:43 a.m. — Pitt police assisted Carnegie Mellon police with an investigation of suspicious activity.
2:59 p.m. — Police recovered miscellaneous items at the Petersen Events Center. The items were placed in an evidence locker.
6:40 p.m. — Police responded to a report of an individual who fainted while playing basketball at Trees Hall. City medics responded, and the person was treated at the scene.
9:33 p.m. — Pitt police assisted city police with a motor-vehicle accident involving a pedestrian.
Thursday, Feb. 7
3:24 a.m. — Police arrested a non-affiliate for driving under the influence at Fifth Avenue and Bigelow Boulevard.
3:57 a.m. — A custodian reported finding drug paraphernalia in the women’s room at Benedum Hall. Police confiscated the items, and they were destroyed at the station.
6:38 a.m. — Police arrested a non-affiliate for theft from a motor vehicle, theft by unlawful taking, theft of lost/mislaid/stolen property, receiving stolen property and possession of drug paraphernalia.
11:31 a.m. — An individual reported a wallet stolen at the Fitzgerald Field House. An investigation is pending.
2:13 p.m. — Police responded to a report of an unattended backpack left at Chevron Science Hall. Upon arrival, the person who discovered the backpack advised that there was a weapon inside. The owner was identified and will be referred for judicial action.
2:17 p.m. — Police recovered a wallet at the Cathedral of Learning. The item was placed in an evidence locker.
3:05 p.m. — Police responded to an individual who reported a laptop missing at the William Pitt Union.

12:17 a.m —Pitt police assisted city police with a motor-vehicle accident involving a pedestrian at Forbes Avenue and McKee Place.
1:19 a.m. — Police responded to a possible drug overdose at Litchfield Tower B. The individual was transported by city medics to UPMC Presbyterian Hospital.
2:49 a.m. — An individual reported witnessing a suspicious incident.
9:31 a.m. — Police arrested a non-affiliate at Fifth Avenue and Atwood Street for driving under the influence.
10:41 a.m. — A request of a welfare check was made for 2715 Murray Ave. Complainant called back advising that she made contact with the individual.
2:20 p.m. — Pitt police assisted city police with a report of an individual who was scamming people for money on N. Craig Street.
3:21 p.m. — Police received report of a motor-vehicle accident on University Drive A involving a University-owned vehicle. No injuries were reported, and both parties exchanged driver’s information.
4:58 p.m. — An individual reported that a vehicle broken into and two bottles of alcohol were stolen at Soldiers & Sailors Memorial Hall.
5:30 p.m. — Police issued one citation for public drunkenness to a non-affiliate at Towerview Garage.
6:59 p.m. — A report was taken for a trash-can fire at Benedum Hall. Officers on-scene put the fire out with a fire extinguisher.
Saturday, Feb. 9
12:34 a.m. — Police issued three citations for underage drinking, defiant trespass and disorderly conduct to one non-affiliate and two citations for underage drinking and defiant tresspass to another non-affiliate at Ruskin Hall.
12:34 a.m. — Police received report of a hit-and-run accident of an unattended vehicle at the BQ Lot on Fifth Avenue. An investigation is pending.
2:19 a.m. — Police arrested a non-affiliate at N. Bouquet Street and Fifth Avenue for driving under the influence.
3:21 a.m. — Police arrested a non-affiliate at Bigelow Boulevard and Fifth Avenue for driving under the influence.
3:44 a.m. — Police issued one citation for public drunkenness to a non-affiliate at 3955 Forbes Ave.
4:31 p.m. — An individual reported an unknown person slashed a tire on a vehicle in the U Lot on University Drive A. An investigation is pending.
4:38 p.m. — Police summons arrested a non-affiliate at 200 Atwood St. for indecent exposure and open lewdness.
9:22 p.m. — Officers responded to report of a marijuana smell in Litchfield Tower A. An individual will be referred for judicial action by an RD for wrapping papers and empty liquor bottles.

Monday, Feb. 11
10:59 a.m.—Police responded to a report of a threatening message that was left on a bathroom wall in the Cathedral of Learning. The area was checked with negative results.
1:04 p.m.—Pitt police assisted city police with a multiple vehicle accident at Fifth Avenue and N. Craig Street.
2:39 p.m.—Police responded to a report of an elevator entrapment at Sutherland Hall. Engineers were notified and were able to get the individual off the elevator.
4:21 p.m.—Police responded to a report of two individuals who were drinking in public. Both individuals were given a warning for drinking in public and property warnings as well.
4:33 p.m.—Police responded to a report of retail theft at Maggie and Stella’s. An investigation is pending.
7:02 p.m.—Police issued a citation to an affiliate for defiant trespassing at Chevron Science Center.
7:06 p.m.—Police responded to a report of an individual who was acting out and causing a disturbance. The person was located and taken to the Western Psychiatric Institute and Clinic.
10:37 p.m.—Police responded to a report of an individual who cut their head on a sprinkler at Brackenridge Hall. Officers were advised that the person had already gone to UPMC Presbyterian Hospital.
Tuesday, Feb. 12
7:13 a.m. — Pitt police assisted Port Authority police with a motor-vehicle accident involving one of their buses at 3900 Fifth Ave.
12:40 p.m. — Police received report of a miscellaneous criminal incident at McCormick Hall. An investigation is pending.
4:34 p.m. — Police received report of a medical security alarm at Bioscience Tower 2 on Darragh Street. The area was checked with negative results.
4:50 p.m. — Police received report of some jewelry that was stolen from Maggie and Stella’s at 209 Oakland Ave. An investigation is pending.
5:53 p.m. — Police received report of a suspicious person at Maggie and Stella’s at 209 Oakland Ave. The individual was possibly involved in the theft from the store a day earlier. The person was identified and advised to stay out of the store.
10:13 p.m. — An individual reported the theft of a watch at Forbes Pavilion. An investigation is pending.
10:20 p.m. — An individual reported that she was approached by an unknown person asking for money at Fifth Avenue and Tennyson Street. An investigation is pending.
Wednesday, Feb. 13
2:02 p.m. — Police received report of a hit-and-run accident of an unattended vehicle at University Drive A.
3:56 p.m. — Police received report of a medical alarm at the Hillman Cancer Center. The area was checked and found to be secured.
6:07 p.m. — Police received report of a medical alarm at Bioscience Tower 2. An employee on-scene advised the alarm was tripped by mistake.
9:48 p.m. — Police received report of a suspicious person at Litchfield Tower A. The individual was identified and given property warnings.
Thursday, Feb. 14
8:35 a.m. — An individual wanted to file a report concerning a suspicious phone call she received at Thackeray Hall.
11:21 p.m. — Police received report of an individual who was applying for admittance to the University through the Chancellor’s Office. The person was advised on the procedures and application process.
12:28 p.m. — Pitt police assisted city police with a vehicle that was broken into at 200 Parkman Ave.
3:31 p.m. — Police issued two citations for marijuana and disorderly conduct to two non-affiliates at Fifth Avenue and Atwood Street.
5:08 p.m. — An individual reported her vehicle was broken into and her cell phone was taken at the SC Lot on University Drive. An investigation is pending.
