Power outage affects areas of Oakland

Parts of Oakland experienced a power outage early on Friday afternoon.

Duquense Light… Parts of Oakland experienced a power outage early on Friday afternoon.

Duquense Light spokesman Joey Vallarian said the power outage was due to an equipment malfunction. The company sent repairmen to repair the equipment and electricity was restored within an hour.

Vallarian could not specify which parts of Oakland were impacted by the power outage, although areas along Forbes Avenue showed to be affected with businesses’ lights out and street lights out.
