William Pitt Union and Litchfield Towers receive bomb threats

At around 11:15 p.m., Pitt evacuated the four buildings. The threats bring the total bomb threat count to 67.

The University sent out an Emergency Notification System alert around 11:20 p.m. notifying the campus of the threats. This is the first time the Union has received a bomb threat.

Wednesday morning at 4, Pitt evacuated five dorms, reopening the last about two and a half hours after the threats were received. Tuesday night, a bomb threat targeted Chancellor Mark Nordenberg’s Shadyside home.
