Pitt clears buildings after latest round of bomb threats Friday

Pitt has cleared all five buildings that received threats this afternoon and evening, including… Pitt has cleared all five buildings that received threats this afternoon and evening, including the Cathedral of Learning and four dormitories.

The Cathedral, which Pitt evacuated after 4:30 p.m., has received a plurality of the 29 bomb threats Pitt has experienced this semester. The building will reopen at 6:30 a.m. Saturday, according to an Emergency Notification Service alert.

The four dormitories, Lothrop, Sutherland, Forbes and Holland halls, were evacuated after 6 p.m., according to an ENS alert.

Over the course of the evening, all of the buildings have been opened following searches from police.
