Fleming, 21, was charged with two counts of aggravated assault, resisting arrest, fleeing or eluding police, drug possession, tampering with evidence and vehicular offenses. Pitt spokesman E.J. Borghetti confirmed that Fleming has been suspended indefinitely from all team activities. He had no further comment.
Fleming was taken to Allegheny County Jail where a $10,000 bond was posted for his release. A preliminary hearing is to be held April 10.
Fleming, who saw playing time in each of the Panthers’ 12 games last season, recorded six tackles and one interception on the season.
