Updated: Seven campus buildings receive threats

The… 12:30 p.m. — After evacuating five dorms early this morning, Pitt received seven more bomb threats.

The University sent out an Emergency Notification System alert at 10:20 a.m. notifying the campus to threats at Hillman Library, Frick Fine Arts, David Lawrence Hall, Posvar Hall, the William Pitt Union and the University Club. All buildings are being evacuated.

At 11:10 a.m., Pitt sent out another ENS alert for a bomb threat at Panther Central.

Pitt cleared all of the buildings, allowing people to reenter, at 12:15 p.m.

This brings the total number of bomb threats this semester to 79.

Forbes Hall, Ruskin Hall, Lothrop Hall, Pennsylvania Hall and Bruce Hall were evacuated before 5:30 a.m.
