Pitt evacuates Cathedral of Learning after fourth bomb threat

The University of Pittsburgh has evacuated the Cathedral of Learning for a bomb threat, the… The University of Pittsburgh has evacuated the Cathedral of Learning for a bomb threat, the second one on campus today.

Pitt evacuated the Chevron Science Center this morning following a bomb threat. That threat was cleared. Today’s two threats bring the total to five such threats in the past month — four for the Cathedral of Learning.

There has been no indication from Pitt or city police about when this evacuation might end.

Pitt spokesman Robert Hill has said that Pitt police had a person of interest in their investigation into the previous threats.
