Woodall averaged 26.5 points, five rebounds and four assists in Pitt’s wins over West Virginia (72-66) and Villanova (79-70). He also shot 62.5 percent from the floor and 54.5 percent from the 3-point line while going 17 for 17 from the free-throw line.
He scored a career-high 29 points in the Panthers’ victory over Villanova on Sunday and scored 24 points in the win at West Virginia on Monday. Since Woodall returned to the floor after suffering groin and abdominal injuries in November, the Panthers are 4-1. They started 0-7 in conference play.
Woodall is averaging 13.3 points and 6.8 assists per game for the Panthers. He has scored more than 20 points three times and has four double-doubles this season. He’s the first Panther to be named Big East Player of the Week this year. Gilbert Brown last earned the award for the Panthers in 2010.
Pitt next plays at South Florida on Wednesday at 7 p.m.
