Pitt offensive coordinator and offensive line coach Bob Bostad accepted the offensive line coach… Pitt offensive coordinator and offensive line coach Bob Bostad accepted the offensive line coach position with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, head football coach Paul Chryst announced on Saturday.
Chryst also announced that Joe Rudolph has been named offensive coordinator in addition to tight ends coach. Rudolph was originally hired as an assistant head coach and quarterbacks coach. Jim Hueber, the previous tight ends coach, will focus on the offensive line.
Rudolph served as the tight ends coach and recruiting coordinator at Wisconsin for four years.
“Joe and I worked closely on the offensive side of the ball at Wisconsin,” Chryst said in a Pitt press release. “He has a thorough knowledge of our systems and what we want to achieve offensively.”
Hueber came to Pitt after five seasons working with the Minnesota Vikings’ offensive line. Before coaching in the NFL, Hueber coached at the college level for more than 30 years.
“Jim has coached some of the finest linemen in the game, pro and college,” Chryst said in the release. “He is tremendously accomplished as a teacher of offensive line play, and his overall experience as a coach benefits our entire staff and program.”
Chryst now has two positions to fill on his staff: quarterbacks coach and running backs coach. Former running backs coach Eddie Faulkner left to become the tight ends coach at Wisconsin in early February.
