Police blotter: Sept. 26 – Oct. 2

Thursday, Sept. 26:
1:33 p.m. A student reported that his wallet was stolen on Wednesday, Sept. 24, after he left his backpack unattended in Benedum Hall.
1:50 p.m. A student at the Bridge on Forbes reported that he was receiving harassing text messages.
5:37 p.m. An individual reported the theft of his bicycle at the O’Hara Garage.

Friday, Sept. 27:
12:44 p.m. Pitt police assisted City police with an incident at Pitt’s Public Safety Building, issuing conduct referrals to 14 students.

Saturday, Sept. 28:
12:36 a.m. Someone reported a smell of marijuana at Sutherland Hall. Pitt police did not locate any marijuana.
12:52 a.m. Pitt police issued conduct referrals to two students at Mazeroski Field after a campus security authority reported a drug law violation.
4:49 p.m. A retail theft was reported in the 4000 block of Fifth Avenue.
11:01 p.m. Pitt police issued conduct referrals to three students at Irvis Hall after a campus security authority reported a drug law violation.

Sunday, Sept. 29:
12:20 a.m. Pitt police assisted City police with an aggravated assault on Atwood Street.
7:00 a.m. Pitt police issued a conduct referral to a student after a campus security authority reported a liquor law violation.
3:30 p.m. Pitt police issued a citation for underage drinking to a student on McKee Place.

Pitt police recorded nothing in the crime log for Monday, Sept. 30.

Tuesday, Oct. 1:
4:04 p.m. Pitt police issued a citation to a person not affiliated with the University for violating open container laws on Forbes Avenue.

Wednesday, Oct. 2:
3:19 p.m. A criminal mischief was reported at the Cathedral of Learning.
