Woodall is expected to return to the court after four to five weeks of rest, Pitt head basketball coach Jamie Dixon announced on Friday.
“We anticipate that Tray will make a full recovery and join his teammates on the court soon,” Dixon said.
Woodall is averaging 14.1 points and a team-high 8.3 assists through seven games this season. He’s also finished with four double-doubles and reached double figure scoring five times.
With Woodall out, the Panthers will turn to their deep bench. Redshirt freshman Cameron Wright and freshman John Johnson should see increased minutes.
