Pitt’s best offensive weapon came from special teams, as the Panther offense didn’t score a point in the game.
In the first quarter, Buddy Jackson returned a kickoff 98 yards for a touchdown and Antwuan Reed returned a blocked punt 10 yards into the end zone to make the score 14-3.
The Panthers didn’t score again.
The Panthers managed just 120 yards of total offense. Running back Ray Graham carried the ball 12 times for 46 yards and quarterbacks Tino Sunseri and Trey Anderson combined for 50 passing yards.
Sunseri and Anderson completed just nine combined passes.
