Gibbs, who leads the team with 16.4 points per game, was named to the All-Big East first team while Wanamaker, who averages 11.9 points per game, was named to the Second Team.
With the award, Gibbs becomes the ninth player in school history to be named to the All-Big East first team.
This season Wanamaker, a senior, became one of only two Pitt players to ever record over 1,000 points, 500 rebounds and 400 assists.
Gibbs joins Connecticut’s Kemba Walker, Georgetown’s Austin Freeman, Notre Dame’s Ben Hansbrough, Marshon Brooks of Providence and Dwight Hardy from St. John’s on the All-Big East first team.
