Six former Pitt football players will participate in the NFL Scouting Combine in Indianapolis,… Six former Pitt football players will participate in the NFL Scouting Combine in Indianapolis, Ind., which starts this week and runs through March 1.

Former Panthers Jon Baldwin, Henry Hynoski, Dion Lewis, Jabaal Sheard, Greg Romeus and Jason Pinkston will participate in the event, which begins Wednesday.

The combine showcases more than 300 of the top college football prospects entering the upcoming NFL Draft as they perform a series of workouts in front of representatives from every NFL team.

Players compete in individual events such as the 40-yard dash, vertical jump and bench press as well as undergoing interviews with various teams.

The 2011 NFL Draft will take place April 28-30 in New York City.
