The half-hour special gives fans a behind-the-scenes pass to a “day-in-the-life” of the Panthers.
Pitt is the first Big East Conference team to appear on ESPN All-Access, which has also filmed Duke, Butler, Florida and Kansas State. The show will be rebroadcast on Jan. 6 and Jan. 8 at 5 p.m.
The special is highlighted by a tour of Gilbert Brown’s apartment and a trip with the team to continue the Coach Dixon Timeout community service program at University Prepatory School.
During the community-service outing, Panther players tell children “about the importance of creating their own personal brand.”
Also during the show, J.J. Richardson takes viewers to a post-practice team dinner, and the Panthers visit the August Wilson Center for African American Culture, located Downtown. The center is named after Pulitzer Prize winner and Pitt graduate August Wilson.
Fans will also get an inside look at a practice session, featuring head coach Jamie Dixon and assistants Pat Skerry and Brandin Knight, and a post-practice film session where the staff looks at tape from Pitt’s win over Maryland Eastern Shore.
Pitt’s next game is on Saturday, when the Panthers take on Marquette at 2 p.m. at the Petersen Events Center.
