Pitt running back Dion Lewis was named Big East Offensive Player of the Week after his… Pitt running back Dion Lewis was named Big East Offensive Player of the Week after his record-setting day in the Panthers’ win over Cincinnati on Saturday.

The sophomore ran 42 times for a career-high 261 yards and four touchdowns as the Panthers ended the regular season with a 28-10 win over the Bearcats.

He finished the regular season with 956 yards rushing and 12 touchdowns.

Lewis is now sixth on Pitt’s all-time career rushing list with 2,755 yards. He will look to pass LeSean McCoy’s record for combined rushing yards as a freshman and sophomore with 2,816 in the team’s bowl game against Kentucky.
