Carrier Dome in the first… The Pitt offense put an aerial assault on the Syracuse Orange at the Carrier Dome in the first half of today’s game, with quarterback Tino Sunseri throwing for 190 yards and three touchdowns as the Panthers lead 28-7 at halftime.

On the offense’s first play from scrimmage, Sunseri hit receiver Devin Street for a 79-yard touchdown, Street’s first of his career.

The Orange responded on their next drive with a long drive, capped by a 1-yard touchdown run by Delone Carter.

An impressive punt return by Cam Saddler set Pitt up at the Syracuse 22 yard line and the Panthers took advantage, as Sunseri connected with Ray Graham for a 15-yard touchdown pass.

Mike Shanahan caught a 30-yard touchdown with 9:39 left in the half to make it 21-7 before Dion Lewis made it 28-7 on a 1-yard touchdown.
