Football: Pitt ahead of FIU 13-10 at halftime

Pitt takes a 13-10 lead over the Florida International Golden Panthers going into the locker… Pitt took a 13-10 lead over the Florida International Golden Panthers going into the locker room, thanks in large part to running back Ray Graham.

Graham, starting in place of the injured Dion Lewis, has 104 rushing yards and a touchdown on only 12 carries.  Lewis is dressed and on the sideline and could enter the game at some point in the second half.

Pitt struck first when Dan Hutchins drilled a 30-yard field goal with 14:02 left in the second quarter as Graham made some shifty runs to set Pitt up deep in FIU territory.

FIU came right back and marched the ball down field, going 75 yards on 13 plays, capped off by a Darriet Perry one-yard touchdown run to put the Golden Panthers up 7-3.

But Pitt responded, and after getting the ball at midfield to start the drive, Graham found a running lane and took it 34 yards for a touchdown.

The two teams traded field goals to end the half, and when they start the second half Pitt will receive the ball.
