Police, ambulance and the fire department responded to a medical call in the Cathedral of… Police, ambulance and the fire department responded to a medical call in the Cathedral of Learning this morning.

Pitt spokesman John Fedele confirmed that an individual had a “medical emergency” inside the Cathedral of Learning this morning that drew several emergency vehicles to the building’s Forbes Avenue entrance.

Police said the individual’s condition was not life threatening.

The incident, began shortly before 11 a.m. with the arrival of EMS on Forbes Avenue.

Just after 11:20 a.m. EMTs placed a man in the ambulance and left without turning on their sirens.

“Students and Oakland residents in the Cathedral should not be alarmed about the earlier the presence of police cars and ambulances,” Fedele said shortly after the emergency vehicles departed the scene.
