Photos: Pitt’s annual bonfire and pep rally

The Pitt Program Council and Pitt Football held the annual bonfire and pep rally on Thursday, Aug. 29. The event featured speakers including Pitt Student Government Board members Sarah Meyers and Neal Gupta, members of the Panther Pitt, Pitt Football Head Coach Pat Narduzzi, and captains of the Pitt Football team Brandon George, Branson Taylor, Konata Mumpfield and Gavin Bartholomew. After the speeches, Chancellor Joan Gabel and the football captains lit the bonfire, which burned on a patch of dirt cut out from the Cathedral of Learning lawn.
