Pitt Football started its season off at home with a 55-25 victory over the Kent State Golden Flashes on Saturday, Aug. 31. The game saw many new faces for the Panthers, including offensive coordinator Kade Bell, redshirt first-year quarterback Eli Hostien and junior running back Desmond Reid.
