March Madness has made its return, and with it, the humble bracket. Some of us here at The Pitt News fill out our brackets with the same zeal as the most dedicated sports junkie. But this year, we the editorial board sat down together, took out our pencils and pondered our picks together. Yes, we made a few sneaky calculations based on teams’ free throw percentages, assists per game of the starting point guard, assist to turnover ratio, scoring defense and rebound margin. (Also, we might have favored a particular mascot or two in some tough calls.)
