Loyal fans of alternative rockers Taking Back Sunday will not be
disappointed by their fourth studio album, *New Again*.
The album’s title perfectly represents the band’s evolution. The title is
appropriate because this album follows the departure of former lead
guitarist and backup vocalist Fred Mascherino, which led to Matt Fazzi
signing on as his replacement.
Fazzi brings his own style to the band and offers fans a fresh take on
Taking Back Sunday. The result is a new start for the band and an added edge
to its music for the fans.
What’s nice about this album is that it caters to all followers of Taking
Back Sunday. Whether this is the first CD you have picked up by the band, or
you have been a fan since the its birth, *New Again* will satisfy your
musical appetite.
The band members successfully reinvented both their sound and themselves as
artists without seeming to try too hard or betraying the original sound that
was the band’s foundation.
The result is a record that not only proves Taking Back Sunday’s staying
power on the alt-rock scene but establishes their potential as musicians.
