12:57 p.m. — An officer cited non-affiliate Phillip G. Jones, of 441 Swissvale Ave., for panhandling in the 3700 block of Forbes Avenue. The incident was cleared.

5:06 p.m. — An officer took a theft report in Posvar Hall. An investigation is pending.

7:10 p.m. — Officers responded to an elevator entrapment in Litchfield Tower A. The incident was cleared.

Tuesday, Dec. 8, 2009

10:27 a.m. — Officers responded to the University Child Development Center for an aided case. The incident was cleared.

2:19 p.m. — An officer assisted the Pittsburgh School Police with a theft report in Posvar. The theft took place in one of their buildings. The incident was cleared.

8:30 p.m. — Officers cited non-affiliate Michael Tagliaferro, of 2350 Wells Drive, Bethel Park, Pa., for public drunkenness in the 3800 block of Forbes Avenue. The incident was cleared.

Wednesday, Dec. 9, 2009

12:04 a.m. — Officers responded to Ruskin Hall for a criminal mischief report. An investigation is pending.

5:25 p.m. — An officer took a theft report in the Hillman Library. An investigation is pending.

11:44 p.m. — Officers checked two suspicious juveniles beside Trees Hall. The incident was cleared.

Thursday, Dec. 10, 2009

12:11 a.m. — Officers responded to the Hillman Library for a suspicious activity report. An investigation is pending.

12:45 a.m. — Officers responded to Litchfield Tower B for a suspicious activity report. The incident was cleared.

9:07 a.m. — An officer responded to the Cathedral of Learning to assist a constable attempting to serve an arrest warrant. The incident was cleared.

10:59 a.m. — An officer took a report from a person near the intersection of Fifth and Oakland avenues regarding an unauthorized withdrawal with his ATM card. An investigation is pending.

2:46 p.m. — Pitt police assisted city police with a person hit by a vehicle at the intersection of Forbes Avenue and South Bouquet Street. The incident was cleared.

7:09 p.m. — An officer took a report of a damaged door at the Cathedral of Learning. The damage was caused by the wind. The incident was cleared.

11:18 p.m. — A Pitt police officer assisted a city police officer with a harassment report that took place off campus. The incident was cleared.

11:47 p.m. — An officer took a criminal mischief report at Bouquet Gardens Building A. An investigation is pending.

Friday, Dec. 11, 2009

10:42 a.m. — Officers took a theft from a motor vehicle report in the Soldiers and Sailors Lot. An investigation is pending.

11:38 a.m. — Officers responded with medics to an aided case in the William Pitt Union. The incident was cleared.

1:07 p.m. — Officers responded to Thackeray Hall for harassment by communication report. An investigation is pending.

1:33 p.m. — A Pitt police officer assisted the city police at the Pittsburgh Café. The incident was cleared.
