Football: Pitt-West Virginia game set for primetime

When the Panthers visit Morgantown on Nov. 27 to take on the West Virginia Mountaineers, they will play under a primetime audience. The 102nd Backyard Brawl will kickoff at 7 p.m. and be nationally televised on ESPN2.

The Panthers (9-1 overall, 5-0 Big East) defeated West Virginia (7-3, 3-2) last year, 19-15, in Pittsburgh. But this will be Pitt’s first trip to Morgantown since it upset then-No. 2 West Virginia, 13-9, on Dec. 1, 2007.

Pitt has a bye this week. After taking on the Mountaineers, the Panthers will finish the regular season against Cincinnati (10-0, 6-0) at Heinz Field. Kickoff for the Dec. 5 game has not been announced.
