This time, it’s sophomore Jonathan Baldwin, who was expected to be the team’s top receiver this season.
Baldwin was arrested on April 19 after an incident with a woman on a Pitt shuttle bus. He faces misdemeanor charges of indecent assault and summary offenses for harassment and disorderly conduct. Baldwin’s preliminary hearing is scheduled for May 27.
Pitt associate athletic director for media relations E.J. Borghetti released the following statement: “The matter is currently under investigation, and until that investigation reaches a conclusion, we will decline comment.”
Last week, senior T.J. Porter left the team after he was arrested for driving under the influence. It was his second DUI citation in the span of a year. Senior defensive tackle Tommie Duhart also left the team last week after he was suspended for spring practice for violating team policy.
