Don’t torch the Olympics!

I tend to be a quiet person.

And I also tend not to tan, even in the summer. If anything, I… I tend to be a quiet person.

And I also tend not to tan, even in the summer. If anything, I get sunburned, thus I wear sunscreen. Well, one day I didn’t rub the sunscreen in completely on my forehead, so part of my face was lifelessly white.

Because of this and my quiet demeanor, the kids in my camp group nicknamed me Marcel Marceau.

It hurt. I would sit by myself at lunch and wipe the imaginary tears out of the corners of my eyes as the kids would laugh at me.

Although the famous mime was of French descent, and it was my nickname for an entire summer, that’s the closest I’ll ever come to being French.

So, unfortunately, I can’t honestly speak for the people of France.

But if I could, I think we’d say “He, boycottons les Jeux Olympiques,” or if you prefer English, “Hey, let’s boycott the Olympic games.”

On Monday, the Olympic torch was making its way through Paris, en route to Beijing, where the Olympics will take place this summer
