Thursday, March 6

10:54 a.m. – A receptionist in the Public Safety Building reported… Thursday, March 6

10:54 a.m. – A receptionist in the Public Safety Building reported receiving a fax message with suspicious content. An investigation is pending.

2:27 p.m. – Several people were reported to have been throwing objects from the roof of a house in the 300 block of Atwood Street. Officers checked the area and found that the suspects had left the roof.

4:31 p.m. – A woman in Posvar Hall reported the theft of her wallet from her office.

4:57 p.m. – Officers checked on two suspicious persons in the 3800 block of Fifth Avenue.

7:29 p.m. – Police cited students Timothy Peter Cain, of DuBois, Pa., and Kevin Michael May, of York, Pa., for underage drinking at the corner of Forbes Avenue and Bouquet Street.

10:52 p.m. – Officers assisted city police with a burglary reported in the 3400 block of Louisa Street.

Friday, March 7

1:01 a.m. – Custodians in Old Engineering Hall reported students taking a shortcut through the building.

1:17 a.m. – Police cited student Katherine E. Ebner, of Williamsport, Pa., for underage drinking at Centre Avenue and Craig Street.

1:55 p.m. – Residents in Bouquet Gardens building A reported damage to interior doors.

3:42 p.m. – A staff member in Lothrop Hall reported the theft of a camera.

4:22 p.m. – Officers checked on a suspicious person behind Lawrence Hall.

4:27 p.m. – Officers removed unauthorized persons from Trees Hall.

4:52 p.m. – An officer reported a possible gas leak at the corner of Forbes Avenue and McKee Place. Pittsburgh Fire checked the area.

Saturday, March 8

7:35 p.m. – Officers found two open doors in the 300 block of Meyran Avenue. They checked the building and found it to be secure.

7:36 p.m. – A woman in Sutherland Hall reported the theft of money from her room.

9:10 p.m. – Officers assisted city police with an arrest in Schenley Park near the Anderson Street playground.

Sunday, March 9

1:59 a.m. – Officers assisted with a boiler malfunction in Trees Hall.

12:41 a.m. – Officers checked on two people climbing through a window at Bouquet Gardens building C and found them to be residents.

11:41 a.m. – A person in Hillman Library reported the theft of a bookbag.

12:22 p.m. – Officers assisted city police with a report of a burglary in the 300 block of McKee Place.

4:07 p.m. – Officers checked a vehicle on Cable Place.

6:23 p.m. – A fire alarm in Lothrop Hall was activated by a broken pipe.

11:43 p.m. – Officers assisted city police with a burglary in progress in the 300 block of McKee Place.

Monday, March 10

1:14 a.m. – An officer reported finding damage to interior walls in Bouquet Gardens.

10:37 a.m. – Police cited non-affiliate Harold Metzler, homeless, for defiant trespass in Posvar Hall.

11:40 a.m. – A guard in Litchfield Tower A reported that an item was possibly missing from the security booth. An investigation is pending.

5:25 p.m. – Police cited non-affiliate Michael Sheffield, homeless, for defiant trespass in the William Pitt Union.

9:27 p.m. – A fire alarm in the Cathedral of Learning was activated by burned toast.

9:52 p.m. – Police arrested non-affiliate Melina Settles, of 801 Wood St., for disorderly conduct and drugs at the corner of Forbes and Oakland avenues and transported her to the county jail on an outstanding Pittsburgh warrant.

Tuesday, March 11

5:04 p.m. – Officers moderated a dispute between a mother and son in Posvar Hall.

5:41 p.m. – Officers checked on a suspicious person near the corner of Atwood and Sennott streets.

7:38 p.m. – A person turned over a garment bag found near McCormick Hall.

Wednesday, March 12

1:14 a.m. – Officers assisted city police with an auto accident in the 3900 block of Bigelow Boulevard. The driver had fled the scene.

7:43 a.m. – Police cited non-affiliate Harold Metzler, homeless, for defiant trespass in Posvar Hall.

8:14 a.m. – Staff at the Hillman Cancer Center reported several incidents of criminal mischief. An investigation is pending.

4:32 p.m. – Police cited non-affiliate Melissa Anne Garlicki, of 230 Ophelia St., for retail theft at Maggie and Stella’s in the Sennott Square building.

5:21 p.m. – A staff member in the Chevron Science Center reported the attempted theft of a computer.

8:53 p.m. – Police cited non-affiliate William Michael Hannon, of 272 Melwood Ave., for an open container at the corner of Ohara and Desoto streets.
