In another of the Backyard Brawls that the Panthers didn’t manage to win this year, Pitt’s… In another of the Backyard Brawls that the Panthers didn’t manage to win this year, Pitt’s gymnastics team dropped a home contest Saturday at the Fitzgerald Field House, 194.025-191.925, despite many season-high scores.

Senior Samantha DeBone posted the only individual title of the meet with her score of 9.800 on the bars.

That score marked her season-best on the bars and her second individual win of the season.

Also leading Pitt (1-9, 1-3 EAGL) was sophomore Dani Bryan as she tied for second place on the vault with a 9.850. She also tied for third place on the floor exercise.

Other season-high scoring came from Sarah Thompson (beam), Shannon Vafiadou (all-around and floor) and Kaitlin Harrison (bars).
