A film to see before you kick the bucket

Everyone has heard about some bold, inspiring feat and said, “I’m going to do that before I… Everyone has heard about some bold, inspiring feat and said, “I’m going to do that before I die.” In Jack Nicholson and Morgan Freeman’s new movie, “The Bucket List,” two terminal cancer patients do just that. Yet unlike the rest of us, the two old men actually go through with the adrenaline-packed adventures on their “bucket list.”

Director Rob Reiner’s latest movie differs quite a bit from “Spinal Tap” and “The Princess Bride,” but it still comes through as a solid cinematic effort with a gifted cast.

Both Freeman and Nicholson fall into roles written for them with expected ease. Freeman plays Carter Chambers, a wise old man who values family and all things heartwarming and sentimental. Quite opposite to Carter, Nicholson plays Edward Cole, a jackass with debatable sanity and an expansive bank account.

Armed with decades of acting experience between them, the two seasoned Hollywood pros put on an excellent performance. Freeman and Nicholson bring all the necessary quirks to their respective characters, making them believable and likable.
