Comedian Q’A to follow “Wild West” screening

If you’ve turned on Comedy Central at all the past few weeks, you’ve most likely seen the previews for this traveling party: Vince Vaughn’s “Wild West Comedy Show: 30 Days ‘ 30 Nights.”

Before the movie hits theaters in a week, the Pitt Program Council will feature a screening of the movie tonight at 7:30 p.m. in the William Pitt Union’s Assembly Room with a follow-up question and answer session with comedian John Caparulo.

Students should come early to get seats (first come, first serve) and show their Pitt IDs for both events. The Q’A will start at approximately 9:30 p.m.

Caparulo, an Ohio native, moved to the west coast to work the door at the world famous Comedy Store while cutting grass at a local golf course.

After his big break in 2003’s “Just For Laughs” Festival in Montreal, other doors started opening.

He has joked about a range of topics, from his frustration with the “punk ass” orange ice pops always left at the bottom of the box to his inability to hold down a real job (meaning setting his alarm for the a.m.).

Whether you’re an aspiring comedian or just want to know what it was like on that bachelor-infested tour bus, his answers are sure to be entertaining and reveal even more behind-the-scenes info on Vaughn and his boys.

The other hand-picked, up-and-coming comedians are Ahmed Ahmed, Bret Ernst and Sebastian Maniscalco.

The film is based on their 2005 tour in 30 cities including Tucson and Chicago. The movie is produced by Vaughn and hits theaters in February.
