I agree with the sentiments expressed by Giles Howard in his column… Letter to the Editor
I agree with the sentiments expressed by Giles Howard in his column regarding the alarmingly increasing prevalence of pandering to religion by presidential candidates. Mr. Howard is right to cite the Founders as exemplars of secular politicians. It is unfortunate that this nation has forgotten its secular origin and has embarked on a path toward Christian theocracy (which, in principle, is no different than a Muslim theocracy.) Highlighting this trend, like Mr. Howard’s has, hopefully will reverse this trend before it is too late.
