Washington Redskins safety Sean Taylor died yesterday after sustaining a critical gunshot… Washington Redskins safety Sean Taylor died yesterday after sustaining a critical gunshot wound to his upper leg. The bullet damaged Taylor’s femoral artery, and the 24-year-old Pro Bowler lost significant blood, the Associated Press reported.
Taylor had a 1-year-old daughter.
“We’re going to miss him,” Redskins coach Joe Gibbs told the AP. “I’m not talking about as a player. I’m talking about as a person.”
The NFL will honor Taylor at every game this weekend. See tomorrow’s edition of The Pitt News for reactions.
