10:17 a.m. – A person in Litchfield Tower B reported receiving unwanted harassing phone calls.

11:12 p.m. – A resident assistant in Tower A reported a resident missing from her room. An investigation is pending.

Tuesday, Dec. 14 10:55 a.m. – The building manager of Mervis Hall reported the theft of a chair. An investigation is pending.

9:36 p.m. – Officers cited students Adrienne Jeannerat, of Erie, Pa., and Alexander Shroyer, of Penfield, NY, for public drunkenness/marijuana at the Frick Fine Arts lot.

Wednesday, Dec. 15 7:44 a.m. – A person at Forbes-Craig Apartments reported receiving unwanted telephone calls from an unknown caller.

8:39 a.m. – Investigators checked a report that a person who was removed last year from the Petersen Events Center had returned. An investigation is pending.

3:55 p.m. – Officers arrested nonaffiliate Edward Zamecnik, of no known local address, for defiant trespass and providing a false identification to law enforcement authorities.

6:22 p.m. – A person in Sennott Square reported receiving harassing phone calls from a known individual.

8:20 p.m. – Burned popcorn activated a fire alarm in Tower B. The incident was cleared.

8:41 — Officers cited nonaffilate Kevin Taylor, of 2160 Bently Drive, for an open container violation at the intersection of Forbes and Oakland avenues.

Thursday, Dec. 16 12:09 a.m. – Officers cited students Steven Benso, of 61 Bruce Hall, Jamal E. Johnson, of Ford City, Pa., Brett C. Hargest, of Glen Rock, Pa., Michael C. Shannon, of York, Pa., Binyam Abraham, of Germantown, Md., Michael E. Zucatti, of Carlisle, Pa., and Nicole L. Estep, of York, Pa., for disorderly conduct. They also cited students Brieann R. Fink, of York, Pa., Kara L. Bilger, of Wexford, Pa., and Chelsi Genday, of 101 Bouquet Gardens Building H, for underage drinking.

12:47 a.m. – Officers cited student Timothy D. McIlwain of Johnstown, Pa., for disorderly conduct on Dimling Way.

12:56 a.m. – An officer checked on a report of a smell of marijuana in Sutherland Hall. The occupant of the room was cautioned about the policy on smoking or burning candles. The incident was cleared.

9:45 a.m. – Someone reported that a person walked into the side of her car as she was driving in the 3700 block of Forbes Avenue, and then proceeded to run from the scene.

1:54 p.m. – A person in Tower A reported receiving unwanted harassing phone calls.

2:29 p.m. – A person in the Cathedral of Learning reported incidents of harassment by a known individual.

8:34 p.m. – Pitt police officers assisted city police in the Bellefield Avenue area with an attempt to locate a man who had run from Bellefield Towers.

8:43 p.m. – Officers checked a retail theft suspect at Blockbuster Video in Sennott Square.

11:54 p.m. – Officers cited student Kerri A. Gatti, of Holland, Pa., and nonaffiliate Matthew B. Malamud, of Richboro, Pa., for consuming alcohol while underage.

Friday, Dec. 17 12:07 a.m. – Officers at 407 Atwood St. arrested nonaffiliate Trevis T. Hardrick, of 915 Ridge Ave., on an outstanding warrant.

2:32 a.m. – Officers at the intersection of Fifth Avenue and Atwood Street arrested nonaffiliate Michael R. Mulkerrin, of Oakdale, Pa., for driving under the influence.

2:56 a.m. – Officers at the intersection of Clemente Drive and Bouquet Street arrested nonaffiliate Jerry Cooper II, of 306 Asia Way, for driving under the influence.

3:29 a.m. – Officers at the intersection of Fifth and Craft avenues arrested nonaffiliate Mark E. Tibbs, of 1806 Maplewood Ave, for driving while intoxicated.

10:45 p.m. – Officers cited nonaffiliates Edward Michael Kelly Jr., of 409 Bigelow Bvld., Andrew Phill Wroblewski, of 228 Thornberry Dr., and Adam Daniel Sciulli, of 336 Coltart St., for underage drinking at the Panther Hollow parking lot.

Saturday, Dec. 18 12:52 a.m. – Residents of 305 Atwood Street reported that someone pulled their cable connection loose.

1:08 a.m. – Officers cited nonaffiliates Darnell Washington and Ali Albzooni, of no known address, for defiant trespass at 307 Atwood St.

1:10 a.m. – Officers in Sutherland Hall cited student Tiffany Sinclair, of 614 Sutherland Hall, for underage drinking and student Mark Logan, of Murrysville, Pa., for criminal mischief.

2:00 a.m. – Officers separated parties involved in a domestic argument in the Schenley Quadrangle.

4:56 a.m. – Officers in the 3900 block of Forbes Avenue cited student Christopher J. Oslosky, of Trafford, Pa., for disorderly conduct.

8:02 p.m. – Officers in the 3500 block of Euler Way arrested nonaffiliate Darnell Bailey, of 1405 Marlboro, on an outstanding Pittsburgh warrant.

11:03 p.m. – Officers at the intersection of Sennott Street and Oakland Avenue arrested nonaffiliate Patrick John Narey, of 5403 Collins Ave., for disorderly conduct.

Sunday, Dec. 19 1:31 a.m. – Officers in the 3900 block of Forbes Avenue arrested nonaffiliate Rudolph Pleasant, of no known address, for presenting false identification to law enforcement.

1:54 a.m. – The fire alarm in Bouquet Gardens, building G, was activated by the discharge of a fire extinguisher.

2:15 a.m. – Officers at Bouquet Gardens cited nonaffiliate Michael P. McClincy, of Greensburg, Pa., for public intoxication.

11:06 p.m. – Pitt police officers assisted city police with recovering a stolen car from Schenley Drive, near the Frick Fine Arts driveway.

Thursday, Dec. 23 4:49 p.m. – A local power outage was experienced in several campus buildings. Power was restored.

4:49 p.m. – Pittsburgh Medic Rescue released people stuck in the O’Hara Garage elevator.

6:40 p.m. – Officers stopped a car and found the operator to have a suspended license. The driver was cited and the vehicle was towed.

Sunday Dec. 26 12:23 a.m. – Officers at UPMC Presbyterian Hospital cited nonaffiliate Terrance Lamont Watkins, of Homestead, Pa., for disorderly conduct.

10:51 p.m. – Officers at the intersection of Bates Street and the Boulevard of the Allies arrested nonaffiliate Arthur Andrew King, of Belle Vernon, Pa., on an outstanding county warrant.

Monday, Dec. 27 11:01 – Officers at the intersection of Fifth and Tennyson avenues arrested nonaffiliate Clay McCoy, of 16 Maycrest Ave., for possession of marijuana with intent to deliver.

Tuesday, Dec. 28 2:10 a.m. – An officer recovered two bags of shirts from the parking lot at the Franklin Complex.

Wednesday, Dec. 29 1:06 p.m. – Officers arrested nonaffiliate Darrell Mathews, of 2331 Reed St., on an outstanding warrant.

1:07 p.m. – Officers arrested nonaffiliate Brian P. Vojtash, of 2764 Zephyr St., on an outstanding warrant.

1:59 p.m. – Officers in the Book Center arrested nonaffiliates Daniel Dickson Gress, of 3902 Winterburn Ave., Anthony D.Lengwin, of 5127 S. Passage, and Joseph Duvall, of 3902Winterburn Ave., for retail theft, receiving stolen property and conspiracy.

Thursday, Dec. 30 4:03 p.m. – A person working in Parran Hall reported that two unidentified people were trying doors. Officers checked the building and did not find anyone.

Saturday, Jan. 1 11:56 p.m. – Officers in the Cathedral of Learning arrested student Amy M. Edwards, of New Springfield, Ohio, for burglary and conspiracy. The officers also arrested nonaffiliate Randy M. Nickerson, of Wells, Me., and student Michael Anthony Cristello, of Natrona Heights, Pa., for burglary, and cited nonaffiliate Brian C. Yeagle, of West Suffield, Conn., for defiant trespass.

Editor’s note: A court has expunged charges mentioned in the previous entry for Michael Anthony Cristello, of Natrona Heights, Pa., in relation to this incident.

Tuesday, Jan 4 1:17 a.m. – A brief, campus-wide telephone outage was experienced. Telecommunications was notified and service was restored at 2:11 a.m.
