Pitt’s assistant athletics director of marketing and promotions received volumes of feedback from Pitt community members regarding the new secondary Panther head logo the athletics department released early last week. Almost tirelessly, he’s tried to respond to all of it, even personally meeting with some people to do so.
The Pitt News met with Ferris Monday to discuss why the new logo was introduced, how the reactions to it are being handled and the numerous connections between it and student and community involvement in Pitt athletics.
