After finding a suspicious note, officials decided to be “rather safe than sorry and err on the side of caution,” so they evacuated the building, according to University spokesman John Fedele.
Occupants were allowed back in Scaife Hall shortly after 2 p.m. after officials decided it was safe and no bomb was found.
