Fire burn, cauldron bubble

Submitted for the approval of the Midnight Society, I call this story “The Tale of the House… Submitted for the approval of the Midnight Society, I call this story “The Tale of the House on Atwood Street.”

After searching far and wide to find somewhere to live their senior year, five Pitt girls finally stumbled upon a dream home on Atwood Street. It would be their first year of living off-campus, and the girls couldn’t wait to play their music as loud as they wanted and, perhaps, even host a party or two.

When they moved in, everything seemed just perfect. Each girl had her own room and three, yes three, bathrooms to share. But it wasn’t long before things started to seem amiss.

A mysterious smell began to emanate from the heating vents. Lights began to flicker and fuses began to blow. One girl encountered a snake in the third floor bathroom. OK, you say, one might chalk up these events to simply living in South Oakland
