12:18 p.m. – A person left their wallet unattended and money was… Thursday, August 31

12:18 p.m. – A person left their wallet unattended and money was stolen from it while in Hillman Library. The incident was cleared.

6:56 p.m. – People were trapped in an elevator on the fifth floor of Panther Hall. They were released at 8:08 p.m. The incident was cleared.

8:55 p.m. – A person reported unknown people smoking in her building at Centre Plaza Apartments. The smoke was coming through her vents and causing her irritation. The incident was cleared.

9:56 p.m. – Students Chiwuba Ohanyerenwa, of Washington, D.C., Christopher Gray, of Wyncote, Pa., and Keith Green, of Philadelphia, Pa., were cited for smoking marijuana in the Centre Plaza Apartments.

11:34 p.m. – Police arrested student Jeffrey L. Kaplan, of 303-B Bouquet Gardens, for underage drinking in Bouquet Gardens.

Friday, September 1

5:07 a.m. – Police responded to a dumpster fire near Scaife Hall. The incident was cleared.

9:25 p.m. – A person reported falling on an uneven walkway on University Drive on Aug. 30, 2006. The person declined medical assistance. The incident was cleared.

Saturday, September 2

3:03 a.m. – Police arrested non-affiliate Jose Perez, of no known address, for defiant trespass on a bench outside of Bruce Hall.

3:31 a.m. – Police arrested student Matthew Richard Merritt, of Philadelphia, Pa., for underage drinking in Tower A.

3:58 a.m. – Police arrested non-affiliate Michael Steven Paul, of 118 Sylvania Ave., for harassment in the 200 block of Atwood Street.

4:26 p.m. – An officer took a report of an automobile accident involving a Pitt shuttle at Forbes and Bellefield Avenues.

5:28 p.m. – Police arrested student Kevin Kroll, of 1429 Marion Dr., Heather Nicole Diehl, of Schellsburg, Pa., Dennis Christopher Royer, of Lancaster, Pa., and Paul A. Orovets, of Bouquet Gardens, for underage drinking on the North Shore before the Pitt football game.

8:42 p.m. – Police cited student Greg Rendine, of Bethel Park, Pa., for disorderly conduct at Heinz Field.

9:38 p.m. – Police arrested student John Alex Corll, of 239 Halket St., for drunk driving at Meyran Avenue and Sennott Street.

Sunday, September 3

1:52 p.m. – A person reported being harassed in the 100 block of Meyran Avenue. The incident was cleared.

4:51 p.m. – Officers detained two juveniles on the Cathedral lawn and turned them over to their parents. The incident was cleared.

5:03 p.m. – A guard at the Cathedral of Learning found broken glass from a revolving door. The incident was cleared.

Monday, September 4

1:02 a.m. – A person who was denied admittance to Forbes Hall was checked and found not to be on the residence list. Residence Life was notified. The incident was cleared.

8:04 a.m. – A person reported finding damage to his bedding and property by a known person. A judicial board referral was made. The incident was cleared.

Tuesday September 5

12:13 a.m. – Individuals marking the walkway and buildings with chalk near the Petersen Events Center were given a warning. The incident was cleared.

2:16 p.m. – A person reported the theft of his bike outside of the Cathedral of Learning. The incident was cleared.

3:58 p.m. – Police arrested non-affiliate Kenneth S. Prysock, of 3140 Penn Ave., for retail theft and an outstanding warrant at Maggie and Stella’s on Oakland Avenue.

6:15 p.m. – Officers responded to a vehicle/bicycle accident in the 3900 block of Ohara Street. The person on the bike was transported to the hospital by Pittsburgh medics. The incident was cleared.
