3:42p.m. — A person reported that an object was dropped down an elevator shaft in Litchfield Tower A. The incident was cleared.

4:34 p.m.— Police arrested non-affiliate Jeffrey Eshenbaugh, of Sarver, Pa., for drug possession on the 200 block of North Dithridge Street.

7:03 p.m.— Police cited non-affiliate William Branch, of 5533 Bryant St., for harassment and defiant trespass.

Thursday, July 6

11:36 a.m. – A person reported damage to an office door sign in Posvar Hall. An investigation is pending.

3:27 p.m. – A person reported damage to the main floor men’s bathroom in the William Pitt Union. An investigation is pending.

Friday, July 7

6:38 p.m. – Officers assisted Pittsburgh Police with a water main break on South Bouquet Street, between Pier Street and Joncaire Street. The incident was cleared.

Saturday, July 8

3:09 p.m. – A fire alarm was activated on the 8th floor of McCormick Hall. The incident was cleared.

10:44 p.m. – Officers assisted city police with looking for a suspect involved in a shooting. The suspect was seen in the area of UPMC Presbyterian Hospital. The incident was cleared.

11:16 p.m. – Officers responded to a report of a stolen wallet on Forbes Avenue. The incident was cleared.

Sunday, July 9

2:35 a.m. — Police arrested student Charles W. Warren, of Buffalo, N.Y., for underage drinking in Pennsylvania Hall.

5:22 p.m. – A person reported the theft of his wallet from a table in the Schenley Plaza Park. The incident was cleared.

8:54 p.m. – A person was trapped in an elevator in David Lawrence Hall. The individual was assisted by an engineer and released. The incident was cleared.

Monday, July 10

3:25 p.m. – Officers assisted city police with an automobile accident in the 4100 block of Aliquippa Street. The incident was cleared.

3:29 p.m. – A person stuck in an elevator was released by an elevator repairman in the Cathedral of Learning. The incident was cleared.

4:08 p.m. – A custodial supervisor reported that the glass in a revolving door was cracked in the Cathedral of Learning. The incident was cleared.

5:18 p.m. – An engineer reported that someone had discharged a fire extinguisher in the elevator in David Lawrence Hall. The incident was cleared.

Tuesday, July 11

12:01 a.m. – An officer was injured in a bicycle accident on the Roberto Clemente Bridge. The incident was cleared.

2:36 p.m. – A person stuck in an elevator was released by the elevator repairman in Alumni Hall. The incident was cleared.

10:19 p.m. – Officers assisted Pittsburgh Police with a search for a prowler at Argyle Way and Bates Street. The incident was cleared.

Wednesday, July 19

3:20 p.m. – An alarm was activated at the Cost Sports Center by juveniles who ran from the area. The incident was cleared.

7:40 p.m. – Officers confiscated pepper spray at a traffic stop. The item was placed in recovered property and the incident was cleared.

Thursday, July 20

2:43 p.m. – A person reported seeing an unknown person stealing a bike at Benedum Hall. An investigation is pending.

Friday July 21

10:07 a.m. – People stuck in an elevator in the Chevron Science Center were released by an elevator repairman. The incident was cleared.

11:37 p.m. – Officers assisted Pittsburgh Police with the arrest of a purse-snatching suspect in the rear of 3414 Fifth Ave. The incident was cleared.

Saturday, July 22

3:02 a.m. – Officers investigated reports of residents throwing objects from their windows in Bruce Hall. The incident was cleared.

6:16 p.m. – A person reported being harassed by a custodian in the Petersen Evens Center. An investigation is pending.

Monday, July 24

3:06 p.m. — Police arrested non-affiliate Thomas Paul Benson, of 232 Webster Ave., for an open container violation at Forbes and Oakland Avenue.

4:03 p.m. — Police arrested non-affiliate Lawrence Harris, of 344 Elmore Sq., for aggressive panhandling at Forbes Avenue and Bouquet Street.

Tuesday, July 25

1:18 p.m. – Officers responded to a report of dorm occupants throwing powder from the windows. The matter was referred to the program counselors in the buildings. The incident was cleared.

Wednesday, July 26

2:56 p.m. – Police arrested non-affiliate Eric Johnson, of 16 Lafferty Ave., for an open container violation at Sennott Square.

Thursday, July 27

8:52 p.m.- Police arrested non-affiliate John Wiand, of McKees Rocks, Pa., for stealing a bike in front of the Law School. Police also charged him with criminal theft, possessing instruments of crime, and resisting arrest.

Saturday, July 29

3:04 a.m.— Police arrested Michael Potsko, of Litchfield Tower A, for underage drinking.

Sunday, July 30

12:45 p.m. — Police arrested student Bruce Barron, of Bethel Park, Pa., for defiant trespass at Trees Hall.

Tuesday, Aug. 1

1:32 p.m. — A person reported a male loitering near her car on Bellefield Avenue. The person reported that she had the license plate of the suspicious person’s car. An investigation is pending.

Wednesday, Aug. 2

5:14 p.m. – Police arrested Charles Serkerski, of 2129 Forbes Ave., for an outstanding warrant for aggravated assault. Police also cited Charles Christ Phillips, of 651 Morewood Ave., Michael Deme McCukkough, of 2342 East Hills Dr. Apartment 11, and Thomas Lowell West, of 6111 Stanton Ave., for disorderly conduct.

Thursday, Aug. 3

2:17 a.m. – Police arrested Michael Casey Shannon, of York, Pa., for disorderly conduct in the 300 block of Oakland Avenue.

11:00 a.m. – Pitt Police assisted Pittsburgh Police with a reported robbery of a business in the 400 block of Atwood Street. The incident was cleared.

Monday, Aug. 7

12:32 a.m. – Police arrested Christopher James Deasy, of Sutherland Hall West, for disorderly conduct and harassment. 7:50 a.m. – Officers assisted city police with a person struck by a car at Fifth Avenue and Lothrop Street. The incident was cleared.

Wednesday, Aug. 9

10:29 a.m. – Book Center staff reported a person attempting to sell suspected stolen books. An investigation is pending.

2:21 p.m. – Officers assisted Pittsburgh Police with two arrests for receiving stolen property on McKee Place. An investigation is pending.

Friday, Aug. 11

5:01 p.m. – Police arrested non-affiliate Foster Bryan Yocum, of Claysville, Pa., for possession of drugs at UPMC Presbyterian Hospital.

Saturday, Aug. 12

2:05 p.m. – Police arrested non-affiliate Sharaine L. Stephens, of Xenia, Ohio, for public drunkenness at Euler Way and Atwood Street.

4:34 p.m. – Police arrested non-affiliates Jordan Friendlander-Tapia and Benjamin D. Bachrach, of Washington, D.C., for public drunkenness on Mazerowski Field.

Sunday, Aug. 13

2:25 p.m. – Officers checked the Schenley Quad for two suspicious people spreading powder. Officers were unable to locate the people. The incident was cleared.

Monday, Aug. 14

11:23 a.m. – A person reported that she was the object of unwanted e-mails received off campus. The person stated that she had reported this to the Pittsburgh Police. The incident was cleared.

11:54 a.m. – People stuck on an elevator in Clapp Hall were released by an elevator repairman. The incident was cleared.

3:39 p.m. – A staff member in the William Pitt Union reported the attempted theft of stereo speakers. The incident was cleared.

7:39 p.m. – A person reported being robbed in the 3400 block of Forbes Avenue. The incident was first reported to the Pittsburgh Police. The incident was cleared.
